The Team

Janice Dreis and Larry Rehage, authors of Making the 12th Grade Meaningful, draw both on their myriad experiences as leader teachers and their fifteen years as the co-directors of an advisement program that served approximately a thousand seniors yearly at a nationally recognized high school. As consultants to school districts, they have conducted workshops on advisement programs, senior project initiatives, the Senior Instructional Leadership Corps (SILC) program, service-learning, and Rethinking the Senior Year. They have presented frequently at national conferences for ICLE, ASCD, NSEE, and NASSP, as well as other state and local organizations. In addition to publishing articles about the senior year, the National Society for Experiential Education named Janice and Larry the K-12 Experiential Education Leaders of the Year for 2005.
